ABOUT THE HUNT
The Giant Easter Egg Hunt is a self guided trail through the park and woodland following a way marked pathways. Once you have collected your Egg Hunt Trail Map, Spring Scavenger Hunt and Pencil from the bandstand you and your group will follow your map and Easter waymarkers to hunt for bunnies, chicks and Easter eggs, be sure to keep an eye out for the Giant Egg hidden somewhere along the way.
The trail takes approximately 45 mins to 1 hour to complete but, you do not have to complete it within this time. The time that you do take is of course up to you and the pace of your group. You can stop and play along the way, bring a picnic and spend the whole day enjoying this beautiful outdoor space. The trial is mostly flat with a few steady hills. There is an easy access trail which is suitable for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. This route can take from 30 mins – 1 hour. This is a mostly flat route with a small hill to climb and defend along the way. Once you have finished your trial you can return back to the band stand to collect your chocolate Easter egg. Car Parking charges to the park apply – all day parking is £3:00
When you book onto The Giant Easter Egg Hunt you will be given a choice of time slots eg 10 – 11am. Please chose your time and number of spaces you require. Spaces per hour are limited.
This is an outdoor event around the way marked pathways of the park and woodland. The pathways can be uneven in places, so be sure to wear study footwear and cater for the unpredictable British weather. The event will go ahead if the rain is forecast however if high winds, storms or thunder storms are forecast the event will be cancelled on safety grounds.
Children should be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
This is a leave no trace event. Please be respectful of the beautiful woodland, native wildlife that calla Baggeridge its home and other visitors. Litter and dog poo can be harmful to people and wildlife and is not cleared away by The Bagwood fairies, please put it in the bins provided.
If you are bringing your dog please be advised that the car park area is very busy. Therefore whilst you are registering in the bandstand area we ask that you keep your dog on a short lead and until you reach the events field.
